A Trip to Gail's Patchwork Emporium

Lynnie and i got back home in time on Friday from Maldon for a Visit to Gail's patchwork Emporium.
Gail had some beautiful easter decorations,i was very tempted.

Gail's shop is amazing and so much fun to look around.

Lynnie was a bit partial to these old hats, they are beautiful each one covered in flowers.

I go back to the hospital today to get my stitches out and hopefully thats the last thing they have to do and i can concentrate on building up strength back in my ankle.

Hope your day is a good one.

A Trip To Maldon

I got the heart tag finished last night for FNSI ,hosted by our lovely Wendy to see what the other ladies got up to go here.

Hooray Lynnie arrived nice and early Friday morning

Lynnie also bought this lovely gift along for me which is a beautiful tree with vintage easter tags hanging off the wire branches, its gorgeous .

We decided to take a road trip and  spend the day at Maldon, when we got there we decided to have lunch first,we were so busy chatting i forgot to take a pic of our lunch ,lol.

We were sad as the xmas shop was closed so we got to spend more time in The Village Patch.

I loved this doll display.

Lyn had a ball picking fabrics as fabrics are $15 or $17 a mt.

Loved this quilt for a little boy.

I was fascinated with this quilt.

Wow some work in this one.

Lynnie matching up fabric for her little premmie baby quilts which she makes for the Geelong Hospital

Today we are off to Gisborne for some more fun and to catch up with some more friends.

I have wanted to make this candle mat pattern up for awhile now.

And i finally got around to making it.

We had a fun day at craft,Brenda always has us in stitches.

This is a lovely piece that Brenda has been working on.

This piece is painted and machined stitch ,its an online course she is doing but i cant remember the designer and in the end it will be a beautiful painted and sewn quilt of birds.

Barb has been working on socks.

Sharon has been working on her EPP quilt.

Raelene was stitching down binding on her beautiful quilt.
It was such a fun day full of laughs.

Hope your day is a good one.

I have chosen to make my decorations flat and not stuffed like Karen's either way is fine as they all look great.

That is two finished now and they are wrapped ready to go into the pressie box,i might even change my mind and keep them for myself.

A parcel has also been sent off to a special friend .

Projects for the month of January & My Op

I had 19 finishes for the month of January.

This is another pic from Monday's craft morning Robyn and i mucking around with the tidy bags that Brenda made,we all thought that they made good hats, lol.

Everything went really well with my op they allowed an hour and i was out in 10 mins, they said i was the perfect patient everything went so smoothly,my ankle is a bit sore now but thats to be expected ,i stayed half awake for the surgery and it was a strange feeling as i could feel them working on my ankle, but it was better for me than a general as that makes me very sick.
So glad that this is behind me now and now i can work on strengthening the muscles.

Hope your day is a good one.
