It is with a heavy heart that we said goodbye to our mum at 4am this morning.
Mum was told in Feb last year that she had aggressive small cell lung cancer and she had chemo and came through really well then she was advised to have radiation and since then she has had a battle then about a month and half ago she was told that the cancer had come back in her liver, she had just started another lot of chemo last week.
She was tired and worn out from battling this horrid disease ,it was a relief that she went in her sleep the way she has always wanted to go and now she is in no more pain,i thought i was prepared for this but i can tell you no one is prepared when the end has come of a love one.
Rest in Peace mum i love you and will miss you as you were a friend as well as my mum.

I will take a break from blogging i know you will understand ,thankyou chooky for being a good friend and support.

I finished off some xmas decorations for a swap later in the year.

Thought for a change i would do some aqua ones.

I am loving this tear drop shape.

So 3 finishes for the swap.

We had our 3 grandsons come and stay Friday and Saturday and they went fishing with their grand father ,we so enjoyed them being here, not one fight or argument, lol

Lunch & How my Ankle is going

My lovely friend Brenda organized a get together for our Monday Craft group as we dont start back at craft until next week.

We have so much fun together and we are going to have extra get togethers at each other homes through out the year as well as getting together every Monday.

Lol such a fun group laughing all the time ,i am so glad that Joy talked me into going .

We had a lovely lunch at thoo the gate cafe in Smythesdale, our lunches seem to last a few hours, lol, cant wait to see the girls on Monday again,i had better sort out some stitching to take.

The sores have healed up on my ankle now so its easier walking in the moonboot it doesnt rub and hurt now,i have some nasty scars.

This is the side that the steel plate went in,i go to physio today so i am hoping that i might be able to start doing some walking and maybe i might be able to drive, fingers crossed.
I am very pleased with the way my ankle is coming along as they told me 6 mths to heal and 6 mths will be the 16th of April, gee the time has gone fast,so just doing what i am told and being patient the body really is an amazing thing how it heals.

Hope your day is a good one.

I have thoroughly been enjoying stitching up this gorgeous pattern gifted to me by my lovely friend Maria.

I got them both trimmed up and ready to sew borders on.

I love this fabric that i put with it,i think i got it from one of spotlight sales.

I was loving how they were coming together

And then buggar water come out of the iron and i had thought that i had washed these threads but i must've not as the dye in the thread started running .

Buggar you would think that i had learnt my lesson by now with these threads,i soaked and soaked but the dye wouldnt come out,so back to the drawing board with Rudolph.

Just as well i enjoyed stitching these, better go and trace out Rudolph again, lol.

Hope your day is a good one.
